£500k refit for Washington’s River Bar with further £1 million investment planned
The River Bar, Washington, has unveiled a £500k refit that has seen the bar transformed into one of the area’s most popular destinations.
At the same time River Bar owners, the Cairn Group, has announced a further imminent £1 million investment which will see the bars patio area upgraded to ensure customers get to fully appreciate what is one of Washington’s most picturesque areas. Fiume, located above the River Bar, will also undergo a refurbishment both internally and externally.
In recognition to Washington’s connection with America, the River Bar has taken interior design inspiration from the Deep South. The soulful atmosphere envelops you the moment you step through the door and continues throughout.
Customers can further soak up the American atmosphere by sampling the River Bar’s new cocktail menu. Delivering West Coast to East Coast favourites all the way down to the Deep South.
Its new food menu is a further salute to America serving up the tastiest wings, ribs and burgers produced using the new in-house smoker, helping to create fantastic American inspired flavour combinations.
The new interior is centred around the purpose built bar providing poseur booth seating and bespoke high stools. Plantation shutters, timber clad feature walls and reclaimed ceiling fans really conjure up a ‘prohibition’ feel with matching low stools, dining chairs and urban rustic tables.
Lighting, accessories and the Mississippi steamer details on the bar’s new logo and menu make for a genuine speak-easy, while the patio area with feature lights and planting complete the American feel.
