Cheese toastie café latest eccentric eatery to hit Shoreditch
Shoreditch it set to welcome a café serving only grilled cheese sandwiches later this spring.
The Melt Room will offer a fancy take on the classic cheese toastie, with slow-roasted lamb shoulder with Swiss cheese and full English breakfast grilled cheese sandwiches on the menu.
The café follows in the wake of numerous weird and wonderful eateries popping up in the capital, including the Cereal Killer Café opening in Brick Lane and a Porridge Café in Shoreditch.
Owner Andrey Datsenko told the Independent: “I spent the better part of my youth studying hospitality management in New York and became addicted to the delicious and hearty grilled cheese sandwiches the city had to offer.
“I am very excited to launch Melt Room, not only to fix my own grilled cheese cravings, but to offer Londoners a gourmet American-inspired version of this much loved snack.”
The Melt Room is set to open in Soho in May
