Mitch todd, a South Yorkshire businessman, announced today the acquisition of the Old Vicarage Care Home with funds provided by Barclays.
Mr Todd, the owner of Rufus Healthcare Limited, acquired the residential care home which was established over twenty years ago.
The Old Vicarage Care Home, which is located at Airmyn, Near Goole, currently provides residential care for the elderly with 22 beds and caters for a mixture of local authority and private funded residents.
The care home also has a staff of 23 all from the local area and has an enviable reputation.
Mitch Todd, Managing Director, Rufus Healthcare Limited said: “With a growing ageing population there has never been a more important time for the provision of exceptional healthcare and we intend to operate The Old Vicarage Care Home with residents and their families as our main priority. The standard of care is central to everything we do.
“The new funding from Barclays has assisted with this latest business acquisition and as we continue with our growth strategy plan over the next few years we anticipate we will be able to add further homes to our portfolio.”
Sara Sharpe, business banking manager at Barclays who organised the funding package for the deal, added: “It’s great to see a business investing for the future and contributing to the local economy. Mitch operates a forward thinking business and we were delighted to be able to support his acquisition and growth plans. The future looks bright for this ambitious business.”
