Bradford City takeover discussions confirmed
Over this past week it has been speculated that Bradford City is holding discussions with the former Queens Park Rangers chairman Gianni Paladini about a possible takeover.
The League one club’s joint-chairman Mark Lawn has now confirmed that Mr Paladini, who has previously been linked with moves to Millwall and Birmingham, is currently in talks about taking over.
Mr Lawn told the Telegraph and Argus: “We have signed a confidentiality undertaking and we are talking to him.”
Ever since leaving loftus Road in 2011, Mr Paladini has been trying to get back into football and most recently he unsuccessfully attempted a takeover at Millwall.
However, in January 2014 the club’s current chairman, John Berylson, dismissed these rumours and said, via ITV,: “I have absolutely no interest in selling Millwall to Mr Paladini, who I have never even met nor have any intention of meeting, or anyone else.
Furthermore, Mr Paladini has also listed as a Director of Bradford City Holdings since February, but this isn’t connected with the football club.
