The recent Lowry Outlet Food Festival had a record 120,000 visitors to the 3 day Manchester event.
In its third year, the festival was the biggest yet with more than 100 artisan food producers and street food pop up restaurants.
The festival covered the entire area from the Lowry Outlet plaza and MediaCityUK Waterfront.
The event featured celebrity cooking demonstrations from Paul Hollywood and Gok Wan, plus a surprise visit from Comedian Alan Carr.
Sales at the Lowry Outlet stores and restaurants benefitted significantly from the 3-day event which saw an increase in footfall through the Lowry Outlet by 28% against the Festival last year and a sales increase of 18%.
Centre manager Helen Anderton said “The events program at Lowry Outlet continues to drive customers to the destination, many of whom may not have visited before and have shown a direct and positive impact on the retailers and restaurants within the centre, we look forward to working with the other businesses within the area to continue to grow the visitor numbers throughout the year as we enhance our Outlet offering further. “
