BOXPARK Croydon: Pop up mall to host only food and drink outlets
BOXPARK Croydon, a planned pop-up mall, will consist of entirely food and drink outlets when it opens in 2016.
The Croydon scheme, which is led by BOXPARK founder Roger Wade, follows a similar project in Shoreditch that opened in 2011 and featured a mix of retails and food and drink outlets.
BOXPARK Croydon will be home to 20,000 sq ft of events spaces, as well as dozens of food and drink outlets houses in 80 former shipping containers.
At a launch event last week, Roger said: “It’s not just about great street food, it’s about creating a special dining experience,
“Clearly something special is happening in Croydon right now, and we want to be at the centre of it. I’m determined that as its culinary, cultural and social heart, BOXPARK will put a smile on Croydon’s face and a song in its soul.”
