TLJ installs locking system at Kingham High School
TLJ Security Systems has installed an electronic locking system at Kingham Hill School, an independent day and boarding school for 11-18 year-olds in Oxfordshire.
The Hull-based company, a leading supplier of smart security solutions for the accommodation industry, has installed its Infinity locking system on doors at the school.
Kingham High School wanted to secure a number of outer buildings on its 96-acre site in the Cotswold countryside, while keeping it as easy as possible for teachers and pupils to access specific areas at certain times of the day.
In a two-week trial, TLJ’s Infinity electronic lock, which utilises RFID contactless key card technology, was fitted to two school doors. Pupils were given wristbands in different colours, depending on their class, that allowed them to access the doors between 9am and 3pm, while teachers were given key fobs that provided access 24 hours a day.
Following the successful trial, TLJ was asked to install its locking system at 30 doors.
Luke Martin, managing director at TLJ, said: “One of the most important benefits of our TLJ Infinity electronic locking system is that it allows greater control over who can access specific areas for set periods of time.”
“Typically, we are asked to help clients in the accommodation industry, so this was an exciting and unique project for TLJ and we’re proud with its successful implementation.”
