The Brink celebrates fourth birthday

The UK’s first and Liverpool’s only dry-bar The Brink is set to mark its fourth birthday this week with a special celebration.

On Friday, September 25, the award-winning Parr Street venue will host a party to commemorate the occasion and thank customers for their continued support.

Open to the public, the evening will consist of live music from The Basement Effect, Litherland High School Band and DJ Alan Cook and ‘Play Your Cards Right’ fun, which features top prizes inducing a 42 inch TV, £75 voucher for The Old Blind School, as well as various tickets for top city attractions. Guests will also be treated to celebratory curry and cake devised by head chef Paul Elackman.

General Manager of The Brink Carl Bell said: “The team and I are thrilled to be celebrating our fourth birthday together with our loyal customers. It has been such an exciting year for us as not only have we welcomed a fantastic new head chef on-board, and expanded our culinary and beverage offerings, we are continuing to add to our eclectic events calendar.

“Having been shortlisted in the National Lottery Awards and E3 Business Awards and crowned ‘Bar of the Year’ at the Liverpool City Region Tourism Awards 2015 it’s so rewarding that as a community driven project, The Brink continues to receive recognition and maintain its popularity within the city. It’s great to be able to provide a space in the centre of Liverpool where both members of the recovery community and the general public alike can connect, socialise and enjoy great food and drink.”

In July of this year, the Action on Addiction flagship venue hosted the annual Merseyside Recovery Awards, which identified and congratulated individuals within the city who have overcome addictions, while applauding those who have helped to aid recovery for others.

Carl added: “Together with our fantastic award win, another highlight of 2015 was the Merseyside Recovery Awards. Year on year, it is a wonderful opportunity to display how far Merseyside’s recovery program has come, and it reminds us of the incredible support network that is available to those who are facing hard times. The awards certainly reflect The Brink’s community spirit and supportive ethos.

“To celebrate what a fantastic year it’s been we are very much looking forward to welcoming both new and familiar faces for an evening filled with fun, friends and food. We can’t wait to see what the future holds for The Brink – here’s to many more memorable years!”

The Brink’s Fourth Birthday Party will take place on Friday, September 25 between 8pm-midnight. Admission is free.
