Paragon organise ‘An Evening with the Stars’

An ‘Evening with the Stars’, a fundraising event held at Battersea Evolution in aid of BBC Children in Need on Thursday 15th October, welcomed guests for an evening of glitzy entertainment where celebrities from the world of sport and television were present to help raise money for this iconic charity.

Entertainment on the night consisted of impressionist and comedian Jon Culshaw as host and compare. Plus an opening performance by LED Dance Troupe, music from Tom Chaplin, frontman of band Keane, Strictly Come Dancing’s Natalie Lowe, plus a host of other stars.

Organiser Hollie Sebire, Head of Event Operations at Paragon, said: “It is such a privilege to be able to organise an event for such a worthy cause. It was great to come back to Battersea Evolution which feels like home for the event and we cannot wait to start planning next year’s event to make it even bigger and better than ever.”

Food served by Battersea Evolution was designed by Michelin Star Chef Angela Hartnett by Smart included red mullet with white bean and jamon ghocchi, saffron sauce. Followed by slow roast neck of lamb shepherd’s pie, roast rump of lamb, butternut puree and buttered greens. Dessert was a chocoholics dream – a delice of cassis on a chocolate sponge and mirror glaze, gold chocolate shard and yogurt sorbet.

Mike Martin, MD at Paragon said: “Once again guests were able to enjoy the company of some great names in such a unique and warming atmosphere. 2015 has been another fantastic success for Paragon and An Evening with the Stars. We are honoured that we can work with such amazing charities like BBC Children In Need to raise money for the UK’s most disadvantaged children and look forward to continuing this work in 2016.”

The evening continued with a grand auction and prize raffle, followed by Scouting for Girls kick starting the after-party into the early hours of the morning.
