Manchester City continue drive to engage Asian fans with latest partnership
Manchester City FC have followed up their recent drive to increase brand engagement across Asia with a new partnership with Hong Kong-headquartered EZShopnet.
As part of the deal, online retailer EZShopnet will operate official City stores in Hong Kong, China, South Korea and Japan, selling club merchandise in local currencies and languages.
Omar Berrada, the group commercial director of City Football Marketing, which is a subsidiary of Manchester City owner City Football Group, was quoted by Soccerex as saying: “We are very pleased that through EZShopnet, we can now get even closer to our growing fan base across Asia Pacific and deliver them a better and quicker service.
“We have seen an enormous growth in our followers in the region and we are extremely happy that they will have easier access to official City kits and our wide range of merchandise than ever before.”
