Bradford Brewery bar to open in The Broadway

Bradford Brewery will open a bar and shop in a in the city’s new shopping centre, The Broadway.

The Made of Bradford outlet will be the first and only bar in The Broadway when it opens on Thursday (Nov 5), offering upto seven Bradford Beers on tap with Bradford Brewery bar snacks.

The new centre has created around 2,500 new jobs in Bradford.

Made of Bradford customers will also be able to buy cans of the first-ever Bradford Lager which has just been launched, and The Broadway will be the first retail outlet offering this product on sale.

The Brewery’s Hockney Pale Ale will also be available to buy in bottles.

The Made of Bradford venue will also sell a full range of souvenir glasses, tee-shirts, hoodies and other Christmas gifts, in an attempt to provide an outlet for a range of Bradford-branded items.

Matthew Halliday, Bradford Brewery managing director, said: “Since we opened at the beginning of this year, we’ve been working hard with our Independent Quarter neighbours and other local businesses around the city to make sure the Bradford revival was already well underway, with a broad, rounded offer in place, ready for The Broadway opening.

“The feedback we have been getting was that people are tremendously excited about all the big national brands coming into Bradford via The Broadway, and we were very humbled when The Broadway got in touch and offered us the opportunity to add an independent Bradford business to the mix.

“We have been in the process of looking for our second site in BD1 for quite a while and this is just ideal! The deadlines are tight so we have a bit of work to do before we can relax on Thursday and see if we can tempt Alexandra Burke in for a pint of Bradford.”

A Westfield spokesperson added: “With less than a week to go, The Broadway has announced some fantastic names in the lead up to launch. Bradford Brewery’s Made of Bradford bar is the latest in an exciting line-up including Jack & Jones, Menkind, Zizzi, The Body Shop and Deichmann – and we’re absolutely delighted to be adding a great Bradford-based business to that list.

“We’re really looking forward to opening on Thursday, and I’m sure many of our visitors will pop into Bradford Brewery’s Made of Bradford bar on opening day.”

Made of Bradford, situated in a position at the entrance to the shopping centre, will be operating initially for a three-month period, with a view to becoming a permanent fixture if there is popular demand.
