Cartridge World Scarborough expands business service to York
Cartridge World Scarborough is expanding its business service into York, to cater for an increase in customer demand.
Jayne Colbeck who, along with husband Andrew, is the joint owner of the Scarborough store, said: “Our business to business sales are growing. Whilst we continue to meet the needs of our retail customers, we’re about much more than simply supplying quality, affordable replacement printer cartridges these days.
“Over the past few years we’ve evolved into the local experts on everything to do with printing and printers with a particular focus on business to business. Research has shown that, beyond the initial cost of a printer, 90% of UK businesses have no idea how much they actually spend on office printing. In fact it could be up to 3% of annual turnover. For a business with a half million turnover that’s £15,000 a year! So there’s a massive potential market for managed print services.”
In response to this, Jayne and Andrew launched print management to services they offer to businesses in Scarborough – and now York.
Cartridge World Print Services specializes in managing business printing. A Cartridge World Print Services contract includes the adoption of a business’ printer fleet, repairs and maintenance and a replacement printer.
Software installed by Cartridge World alerts the customer whenever a printer cartridge needs replacing.
Jayne concluded: “Initially we’ll be servicing the York area from our store here in Scarborough, delivering cartridges, printers and other office supplies. Long-term, the plan is to have a physical presence in the city.”
