easyHotel secures planning consent for new Liverpool site
Budget hotel developer and operator easyHotel has been given the go-ahead for its new site in Liverpool.
The London-headquartered company received planning consent to create a 79-room hotel at 47 Castle Street.
easyHotel acquired the property, which was formerly a restaurant and office site, back in April. Estimates for the total cost of acquiring the building and transforming it into a hotel were placed at £3m.
The Castle Street hotel is due to open at some point in the 2016/17 financial year.
easyHotel has invested heavily in its North West presence this year. In June, the firm acquired a building in Manchester to develop into a 114-bedroom hotel, with the total cost estimated at £6m.
