South West Attraction Helps Feed Homless

PUXTON Park tourist attraction is helping to ensure those less fortunate are kept fed over the Christmas period.

The Adventure Park, in Hewish, has pledged its support once again to Comfort and Warmth, a homeless charity in Weston-super-Mare.

Comfort and Warmth aim to relieve poverty and distress among people who are homeless by providing food and accommodation with the help of donations and volunteers.

The charity has run a shelter for the past 25-years to ensure people are kept warm, fed and off the streets and will once again open at St Paul’s Church in Walliscote Road between December 24 and December 28.

Puxton Park has offered its help to the cause for the third year running by making a donation of three turkeys for a festive feast from its farmshop.

Puxton’s Derek Mead said: “We are more than happy to get behind this wonderful initiative to ensure that everyone can have a pleasant festive period.”

Committee chairman, Jon Codd, said: “I would like to pass on my heartfelt thanks to the Mead family at Puxton Park once again for the superb donation of turkeys, which will ensure our guests are well fed this Christmas.”
