North East architectural practices reveal merger
Darlington-based ADG Architects Limited has merged with fellow architectural practice Blackwell Architectural Services Ltd, based in Newton Aycliffe.
The deal will see Jeff Blackwell, Principal of Blackwell Architectural Services Ltd, become a partner at ADG Architects, where he will will work with partners John Bell and Paul Kelly.
In addition, architect Malcolm Cundick joins the firm as an associate from his practice Alpha Plus: Architects, whilst Samantha Lowdon joins as business development manager.
ADG Architects works across a wide range of commercial, Industrial, residential, interior design and 3D Modelling projects, with particular specialisms in Education, Care Home, Agricultural, Historic and Ecclesiastical buildings.
The merger with Blackwell Architectural Services Ltd adds extra resources and specialist experience in agricultural, industrial and residential work, while as a specialist in ecclesiastical buildings, the addition of Malcolm Cundick brings more than 40 years’ experience of Church, Community and Historic Buildings to the Practice.
Partner John Bell said: “The merger with Blackwell Architectural Services Ltd and the recruitment of Malcolm and Samantha marks the start of a controlled growth phase for ADG Architects, which will provide extra architectural and administrative resources to support the work of the partners.”
