Franco Manca secures Bromley site for new restaurant
Sourdough pizza brand Franco Manca has announced plans for a new restaurant on the site of The Compass pub in Bromley.
The deal will see the pizza restaurant lease the whole building on 10 Widmore Road, situated on the corner between Fyfe Way and Widmore Road, and will be their second site in South East London.
Franco Manca have enjoyed rapid expansion recently, with the Bromley site adding to their 19 branches across the capital, including the Wimbledon branch that opened last year.
The lease was agreed with London-based leisure property agency Shelley Sandzer, who acquired The Compass pub earlier this year.
Nick Weir, Joint Managing Partner at Shelley Sandzer, commented: “The pub was purchased off-market from Stonegate Pub Company and in line with our close working relationship with Franco Manca we proposed the site. It interested them immediately and we are pleased to see the brand continue its expansion plans in London.”
“The nature of the deal reflects our fast pace, robust knowledge of the market, and the strong working relationship we keep with clients, in order to provide valuable advice in a quickly shifting market.”
Nick Leveton of Leon Oscar Properties, who acted on behalf of Franco Manca in the deal, added: “We are delighted to have secured this deal with Franco Manca. Shelley Sandzer were assured in providing the connection and based upon Franco Manca’s continuing success, we are confident they are the perfect tenant for the site.”
