Five-star accolade for Pad Residential's serviced apartment
The boss of residential sales and lettings agency Pad Residential has hailed the success of its new serviced apartments venture after winning an award for high standards and achieving an occupancy rate of 90 per cent in its first six months.
Guests gave its Piccadilly Pad apartment near Piccadilly Gardens in Manchester an average of 9.7 marks out of 10 in reviews posted on Booking.com. The plaudits have earned the property a five-star rating and a guest review award from the website.
The two-bedroom apartment in Chatsworth House, Lever Street, offers short-stay accommodation for people visiting the city on business, as tourists and to see family and friends.
Guests so far have included football fans from Norway, a Scottish family on a mini-break, a couple who had moved out of their home because of renovation work, sisters from across the UK enjoying a reunion weekend, and visitors from countries including Iceland, Indonesia, China and Holland to sample the sights of the region or to see their children who are studying in Manchester.
Ian Waxman, managing director of Pad Residential, which is based on Bridge Street in Manchester city centre, said: “We’re delighted that our attention to detail and commitment to providing the highest standard of accommodation have been reflected with a guest review award.
“The fully-furnished apartment has a home-from-home feel in the heart of Manchester, combining a relaxing private living space with kitchen facilities, free parking and wi-fi.
“We’ve had guests staying from two nights to two weeks and occupancy levels have exceeded our expectations. We see this as a platform from which to expand our serviced apartments offering in the city.
“There is clearly strong demand across the board for this type of accommodation. Manchester is certainly a magnet for short stays for sports fixtures, concerts and the theatre, as well as conventions, exhibitions and other major events such as the Chinese New Year celebrations.”
