London-based e-commerce specialist Global-e has been selected by global beauty brand Crabtree & Evelyn to help enhance its online international service.
The e-commerce firm will provide cross-border payment options and fully localised online shopping for Crabtree & Evelyn’s international customers in more than 200 markets worldwide.
The American beauty brand, which was established in 1972, has experienced rapid growth both online and offline, and will take advantage of Global-e’s multi-lingual payment services that support more than 60 currencies and over 45 different payment methods.
It is all part of the firm’s strategy to capitalise on the cross-border e-commerce market which is predicted to grow to almost $1trn by 2020.
Hannah Stote, eCommerce Manager, at Crabtree & Evelyn, said: “As a global beauty brand, it’s really important to us that we give our customers an excellent experience at all times, no matter where in the world they are.
“Our partnership with Global-e allows us to provide our customers with a fully localised experience, with far greater choice of currencies and payment methods, and a greater range of shipping options.”
Nir Debbi, co-founder and Chief Marketing Officer at Global-e, added: “In today’s global market, retailers simply cannot afford to deliver a poor customer experiences for shoppers in the UK or elsewhere.
“With shoppers now becoming more accustomed to shopping online in many markets worldwide, retailers that don’t adapt to rising expectations will lose out to competitors that offer a better experience.
“Savvy retailers like Crabtree & Evelyn understand just how important the shopping experience is – and the potential sales uplift that can be achieved by tapping into fast-growing e-commerce markets around the world.”
