Beauty Salon RMUK creates 30 new jobs in Leeds expansion
Hairdressing and Beauty Salon RMUK has relocated to Great George Street in Leeds, creating 30 new jobs in the process, following a funding package from the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS).
The relocation has enabled the owners to create a day spa destination venue, with the larger premises boasting 14 cutting stations, a nail bar, five beauty therapy rooms and a café/bar and terrace that serves wine and cold beers.
The firm’s owners complemented the backing with a capital investment of their own, allowing them to complete the move from Eastgate and into the 3,500 sq ft building on Great George Street.
Roberto Moura, RMUK Co-Owner said: “The new salon is fabulous and really sets us apart from our competitors thanks to unique touches such as the ‘Pamper Cab’ and café/terrace which complement the highly professional services our staff offer to our hair and beauty clients.
“The support from the Royal Bank of Scotland team has also been very important in helping us to achieve this move which has enabled us to create a unique holistic experience for our existing customers and to attract new ones also.”
Richard Cooper worked alongside his colleague Lindsay Crooks to assist RMUK with their exciting expansion plans.
Lindsay Crooks, Senior Relationship Manager, Royal Bank of Scotland said: “This is a very exciting stage for RMUK. A lot of hard work has gone into the new salon to create a relaxing and unique space.
“The new salon offers so much more for their customers with larger hairdressing and beauty facilities as well as a café/bar area. The purchase of a London taxi for collecting clients is a great touch and sets them apart from other salons in the area.
“It complements their long standing reputation for providing professional service and creative hair designs and relaxing beauty treatments. Both the RMUK and their clients are reaping the benefits of this new salon experience.”
