New Chicken Shop concept to open in Wimbledon on Hot Pink Grill site
A new outlet of the Chicken Shop restaurant is to open in Wimbledon it has been announced.
The store, part of the Soho House group of concept restaurants, will be situated in a 1,800 sq ft site at 86 The Broadway, the current home of health-focused diner Hot Pink Grill.
Chicken Shop was founded in London in 2012, and has since grown to span nine locations spread across London and North America, along with outlets in Berlin and Istanbul.
Leisure property specialists Shelley Sandzer acted on behalf of Hot Pink Grill in the deal, which will see the Soho House-affiliated restaurant assigned the lease for the property in Wimbledon.
Chicken Shop will join the likes of Mexican chain Wahaca, Pizza Express and Gourmet Burger Kitchen as dining options on The Broadway.
Leo Feldman at Shelley Sandzer said: “This is a fantastic location for Chicken Shop to have secured. The Broadway in Wimbledon is already home to popular eateries including Franco Manca Wimbledon, which Shelley Sandzer assisted in securing last year. Acting in the deal continues to affirm our position as trusted advisors to the leisure property industry.”
The leasing of Chicken Shop follows a number of Shelley Sandzer-brokered deals in London this year, including a new Bodean’s restaurant in Covent Garden and a Franco Manca site in Bromley.
