Fine dining restaurateur Richard Caring to open new Mayfair restaurant
Caprice Holdings, the restaurant group owned by fine dining tycoon Richard Caring, has acquired a new 6,132 sq ft site in Mayfair.
The new restaurant, which is due to open this summer, will replace Pekinese cuisine and dim sum restaurant Princess Garden, which currently occupies the site on North Audley Street.
Comprising a ground floor of 3,532 sq ft, a raised ground of 767 sq ft, and a basement of 1,833 sq ft, the 120-cover restaurant will join Caprice Holdings’ lineup of high-end restaurants including The Ivy, J. Sheekey Restaurant and Scott’s.
Leisure agent Restaurant Property brokered the sale, coming off the back of similar deals in Mayfair and the West End including Sexy Fish, Roka, and a number of Gordon Ramsay restaurants.
Rawlinson said: “Sites of this calibre with great prominence don’t come often on to the market in Mayfair and we had a highly competitive situation on our hands despite the short lease length.”
Commercial property specialists CBRE advised Caprice Holdings on the lease which will run until March 2024.
