Las Iguanas to create 23 new jobs on Newcastle Quayside following £500k investment
Las Iguanas will open a new venue in Newcastle next month, creating 23 new jobs in the city.
The site will be the Latin American restaurant chain’s second in Newcastle as it looks to build on its already-established presence on Grey Street.
Investing £500k in total into the new restaurant, the eatery will be complete with a new spring menu set to be available for its opening on May 9.
Fish lovers will enjoy new additions Ceviche in tiger’s milk with sweet potato crisps, pan-fried Sea Bass Achiote and a traditional Moqueca de Piexe mild Brazilian curry with coconut and fresh tomato sauce.
Other dishes include ribs with a Cuban twist with a sticky Havana Club glaze and there is a rainbow of colour in the Fiesta Ensalada with butternut, avocado, roquito peppers and charred corn.
The new restaurant will be situated behind waterfront bar Pitcher and Piano at the former La Tasca facility, next door to Gusto.
