Luxury men's clothing brand Hamilton and Hare opens in Marylebone
Hamilton and Hare, the retailer specialising in luxury men’s clothing and underwear, has opened its flagship store in Marylebone today.
The brand has taken a three-year lease on a 830 sq ft property at 39 Chiltern Street, as part of the 110 acre Portman Estate in London’s West End.
Launching in 2012, the sportswear specialist currently has its boxing-inspired clothing lines stocked in the likes of Selfridges and Fenwick, and has called upon former boxer Joe Calzaghe to promote the brand.
Following the launch, Olivia Francis, Founder of Hamilton and Hare, said: “As an established menswear destination in Marylebone, Chiltern Street is the perfect location for Hamilton and Hare’s first standalone store. The street has an excellent neighbourhood feel, and we are excited to be joining this community of designers and retailers.”
Philip Norris, Head of Retail at The Portman Estate, added: “We are delighted that Hamilton and Hare has chosen Chiltern Street as the destination for its flagship store.
“Chiltern Street has established itself as a destination for outstanding independent shopping, with a varied premium menswear offer, including the likes of Trunk Clothiers, Club Monaco, Sunspel and designers such as Pauline Burrows, to name a few.
“Complementing the existing retailers, Hamilton and Hare will bring something new and unique to the street.”
Retail property specialists Nashbond represented the Portman Estate in the deal.
