American themed restaurant to create 20 new jobs with opening at Fox Valley in Sheffield
The Fox Valley development in north Sheffield is set to welcome a new American themed restaurant. with funding from Barclays.
The first NYC Bar and Grill restaurant was launched in Bawtry in 2013, and a second site will soon be opening at Doncaster.
After experiencing success with the American theme dining experience and bespoke in house recipes, founder Lee Edwards now plans to launch a third site at the Fox Valley Shopping Centre with funding from Barclays.
Lee Edwards, managing director, NYC Bar and Grill, said: “Launching my own business has been so exciting for me and I can’t wait to open the doors at Fox Valley.
“Barclays has supported the growth plans and we are already looking to take the brand to other cities across Yorkshire. The new site will create around twenty jobs locally and our focus on great quality food and first class customer service seems to be a real winner with our customers.”
NYC Bar and Grill currently employs 38 people and this will increase to 58 with the launch of the new site. Turnover for the current year is expected to exceed £700k with plans for this to exceed £1m by next year.
James Pemberton, business manager at Barclays who put together the funding package for the deal, added: “It’s great to be able to support a local business that is thriving and expanding for the future.
“Lee has big plans ahead and his rapidly expanding business has a clear growth plan which is creating jobs and supporting the local economy.
“It really is a pleasure to support Lee on his journey and we look forward to the next phase of development for this ambitious and forward thinking company.”
