Armitage Sykes to move office as Schofield Sweeney name takes over
Law firm Schofield Sweeney has confirmed the relocation of the former Armitage Sykes Huddersfield office from New North Road site to the revamped premises in central Huddersfield.
The move is expected to complete before the end of the year.
The firm, which merged with Armitage Sykes earlier this year, now employs over 150 staff across three sites.
From Today (1st July) Armitage Sykes will be fully integrated into Schofield Sweeney, and will be known as Schofield Sweeney.
Rob Kelly, partner at Armitage Sykes, said: “Armitage Sykes was established 150 years ago and is firmly rooted in Huddersfield. As the firm takes on the Schofield Sweeney brand we will preserve our strong Huddersfield heritage whilst expanding the commercial law services available to the Huddersfield Market.”
Chris Schofield, Chairman, Schofield Sweeney, added: “We are a fast growing law firm with a strong reputation in West Yorkshire. The move will enable us to expand our offering as well as be in a prime location with modern working and meeting facilities.”
As well as being specialist business and commercial lawyers, the firm now has one of the largest Private Client teams in the region.
