Ryanair to grow its Newcastle Airport traffic by 150% with new flight offering
Irish low-cost airline Ryanair has launched its biggest ever Newcastle summer schedule, announcing new routes for 2017.
Announcing three new routes to Faro, Girona and Palma, coupled with five new summer services to Gdansk, Lanzarote, Tenerife, Warsaw and Wroclaw, and furthered by more flights to Alicante, Dublin (double daily) and Malaga, Ryanair will grow its traffic at the North East airport by 150%.
Moreover, the firm has reported that it will deliver 750,000 customers p.a. and support 560 jobs at Newcastle Airport.
John Irving, Business Development Director at Newcastle International Airport, said: “We are delighted to see Ryanair continue to expand their offering from Newcastle.
“The new routes to Faro, Girona and Palma increases the choice of flight options to these popular destinations from Newcastle and we expect these flights to be well received by the North East travelling public.”
In Newcastle, Ryanair’s Head of Communications, Robin Kiely said: “We are pleased to launch our biggest ever Newcastle summer 2017 schedule.
