York taxi business enters administration
On 25th November 2016, Rob Sadler and Dave Broadbent of Begbies Traynor in York were appointed as joint administrators of Six Five Nine Cars Ltd.
The business, which has traded in York for over 15 years, has one of the largest fleets of private hire vehicles in the city. Â
Located on Layerthorpe, Six Five Nine Cars is continuing to trade while a buyer is sought.
All 10 support staff have retained their jobs, along with the drivers all of whom are self-employed.
Joint administrator Rob Sadler said: âUnfortunately, the business has recently suffered from management issues and cash flow problems.
âThis led to a creditor asking the Court to put the company into administration.
âHowever, it is very much business as usual for customers, staff and drivers. We have already received enquiries from a number of interested parties and we are confident that we will be able to find a buyer for the business as a going concern, so delivering the best return possible for creditors.“
