Otley’s Adlington development experiences record success
The sales team at Adlington’s £11m retirement development in Otley is celebrating tremendous success this week, after being named as the quickest-selling site in the company’s 10-year history. With the building only completing at the end of October, 92% of the properties at the luxurious Bridge Street development have been reserved, with 21 apartments already occupied and new homeowners settling into their well-insulated, highly energy efficient apartments before the cold weather sets in.
Adlington House offers a choice of one, two and three bedroom superbly-appointed apartments, with spacious living and dining areas, as well as a fully-fitted and modern kitchens. There is also a table-service restaurant, which offers breakfast and a three-course lunch daily, a hairdressing salon, lounge and activities and crafts room, all of which help to make residents’ lives easier if they don’t feel like venturing out. If they do, however, the company’s shuttle bus service into the town centre and back is a further commitment to help residents remain active.
Phil Holyoak, Sales Manager says: “We have been overwhelmed by the levels of interest in the site. We have very much enjoyed bringing the Adlington product to West Yorkshire home buyers and are so pleased with the positive feedback and how many of the properties have been sold – making it our top-selling site.
“We always thought that there was a great deal of demand in the town for a new retirement facility but to have such a huge uptake within weeks of the development being built is a new record for Adlington. The 24-hour on-site care & support option, provided by our partner MHA (Methodist Homes) has been a big selling point for many of our homeowners. The trusted charity organisation has been has been providing care and support for more than 70 years across the UK and will be on hand to support any residents if and when they might need a little extra help. With just four apartments now remaining, we would urge those who are looking for an easier way of life to get in touch and come and see us soon.”
Security is of paramount importance at Adlington and an emergency call system and security video entry comes as standard in all apartments. Adlington also offer a generous referral reward of £1,000 to any recommendations that lead to a purchase.
