AMBA awards Nyenrode MBA programs 5 year accreditation

The highly regarded international accreditation organisation the Association of MBAs (AMBA), has renewed its accreditation of the MBA programmes offered by Nyenrode Business Universiteit for a further five years – the maximum period it offers to schools. The personal approach, alumni involvement and life-long learning opportunities were just some of the aspects identified as distinctive characteristics of Nyenrode’s programmes.

During the accreditation process, Nyenrode’s MBA programs were assessed on the basis of more than 100 criteria, divided over seven different dimensions. In its accreditation report, AMBA concludes that Nyenrode is head and shoulders above other Dutch universities where the involvement and commitment of MBA alumni are concerned.

The report highlights the focus on personal leadership development in the MBA programs as a strength too. Another positive characteristic mentioned in the report is the higher than average percentage of female students enrolled for the International MBA at Nyenrode — 58% of the current cohort are women. The life-long learning culture at Nyenrode is commended as well; alumni value their ongoing access to high-quality education. The estate and the study facilities provided within it are qualified as unique characteristics that enhance the student experience.

“We are very pleased with this accreditation and, above all else, proud of the AMBA evaluation. Personal development, alumni involvement and a life-long learning culture are all important aspects that we actively focus on,” says Prof. Dr. Miša Džoljić, Rector Magnificus of Nyenrode Business Universiteit. “It’s good to see these elements in particular mentioned in the accreditation and also the quality of the study experience, which we refer to as the Nyenrode Experience, in a broader context. We will maintain our current course and have a number of great ambitions for the MBA programs that we want to achieve in the not too distant future.”
