New aftersales boss for Birmingham Van Firm
A Birmingham business has appointed a new manager to strengthen its customer service.
Wayne Ollerenshaw landed the role as aftersales manager at Volkswagen Van Centre Birmingham on St Stephens Street, in what he described as an ‘exciting move’ for him.
The appointment is further progression in the career of Mr Ollerenshaw who has been in the motor industry since the age of 17.
The 32-year-old began his career as technician apprentice with Toyota before moving on to SEAT. He rose through the ranks to aftersales manager at the Birmingham branch before seizing an opportunity to take over the reins of aftersales with Volkswagen Van Centre Birmingham. Mr Ollerenshaw said: “I’m delighted to be at the Volkswagen commercial vehicles business. It’s an exciting move for me and one that I couldn’t wait to get started with.
“I’ve worked in the motor industry since my teenage years. It’s always good to see yourself progress and I felt I could do this here.
“I’ll be bringing a renewed customer focus to the role, and the team and I have challenged ourselves to improve the business even further. This means it will be the customer who see the benefit.”
Bruce Henderson, head of business at Volkswagen van Centre Birmingham, added: “We believe Wayne’s expertise and enthusiasm will be welcome boost to the business.”
