Tigertiger owner snaps up three Rocket Restaurants sites

Novus Leisure, the London bar and restaurant operator that owns TigerTiger, has acquired the three Rocket Restaurants venues in London from current owner 3Sixty Restaurants.

The transaction, which is for an undisclosed fee, will see the operator add the Canary Wharf, Adam’s Court and Bishopgate Rocket Restaurants to its portfolio, while the fourth Rocket site in Nottingham has been acquired by Ego Restaurants.

Novus portfolio also includes the Balls Brothers, Landmark and Premium Bar & Kitchen brands, and it operates the TigerTiger venues across the UK.

Following confirmation of the acquisition. Toby Smith, Chief Executive Officer, commented: “We are delighted to add the three Rocket sites to our unrivalled London portfolio, not only will this acquisition strengthen our estate in the City of London, it will also create an exciting opportunity to operate in Canary Wharf for the first time in the Company’s history. We are looking forward to welcoming the Rocket team into the Novus family.”

James Horler, Chief Executive Officer, 3Sixty Restaurants Ltd said: “The sale of Rocket to Novus makes a lot of sense. We are very focused on an organic self-funded growth of Ego in pubs throughout the regions and have opened six sites already with another two in the immediate pipeline. This will take the Ego estate to fifteen.”

The transaction is expected to complete by 31 January.
