Sanderson Weatherall continues Greggs relationship with latest commission
Property consultancy Sanderson Weatherall’s in-house architecture division, SW Architecture, has won a contract to refurbish food-on-the-go retailer Greggs’ Innovate House building at Balliol Business Park, North Tyneside.
Sanderson will consult on architecture, interior design, building surveying, quantity surveying, principle designer services and project management.
The project follows the firm’s recent fit-out of Greggs House at Quorum Business Park and is part of the bakery giant’s ongoing drive to modernise its stores.
Sanderson Weatherall has worked with Greggs for many years, providing a range of property services including architecture, building surveying, valuation and agency.
Last year, the firm’s agency department facilitated Greggs’ move to a new three-storey, 30,715 sq ft Grade A office building at the Quorum Business Park.
Work has now begun on the 18,000 sq ft refurbishment project, which will house 200 of Greggs existing workforce and is due to complete in the second quarter of 2017.
Stephen Richardson, partner and head of SW architecture, commented: “Greggs is an iconic North East brand, so for us to be involved in this high-profile commission gives us all a huge degree of satisfaction.
“We are very much looking forward to continuing our long-standing relationship with Greggs and are excited to progress this project, which further highlights the multi-disciplinary service that Sanderson Weatherall is able to provide under one roof.”
