Regions newest house builder picks up first accolade
New house builder Ascent Homes is riding high after a successful night at the recent annual Northumberland Business Awards, winning the prestigious New Business of the Year Award.
Set up in 2015, Ascent Homes has got off to a flying start within the region’s house building sector, launching three developments on site within the first twelve months with three more commencing on site in the spring and further sites at early planning stages.
Targeted to sell 200 homes per year, Ascent Homes is passionate about designing and building homes throughout the north east which will enhance the communities in which they are located. To achieve this, the house builder is committed to using a local workforce and supply chain and creating sustainable employment and training opportunities to support the local economy.
Ascent Homes is a new name in the market but the team behind the business has vast experience in the property industry. Ascent Homes is the house building arm of Arch, the Northumberland Development Company
Speaking about receiving its first award, Dave Ledger Arch chairman said;
“We are tremendously proud to have received this recognition so early in the company’s development. Everyone at Ascent Homes is proud of our achievements to date and the positive impact we are making in the region, despite being a fledgling business.
Duncan Bowman, development director who heads up Ascent Homes said: “We are creating houses with an unrivalled level of specification and have a number of exciting key sites coming forward, because of that, I’m confident that this is the first of many awards we will win as we continue to develop in the coming years.”
Ascent Homes is on site at Plessey Green in Blyth, Windsor View at Newbiggin and recently launched their sales office and two stunning show apartments at The Maltings in Alnwick
