Tottenham Hotspur promise 'world class' cuisine after signing up Super Bowl catering firm for new stadium
Premier League football club, Tottenham Hotspur, have awarded a lucrative ten-year contract to Levy Restaurants UK to deliver matchday and events catering at its new £750m stadium.
The deal will see the catering firm, which also has agreements in place with Twickenham and has previously provided catering for the Super Bowl through its US arm, work with the North London club to develop and deliver the ‘world class’ hospitality and catering at its new ground.
As part of the contract, Levy has committed to create 50 full-time senior positions to oversee the contract, while a further 1,400 match day jobs will be created within the new stadium’s hospitality functions, with a focus on hiring from the local Tottenham area.
The contract award, which follows a competitive tendering process, is the final piece in the jigsaw for the new 61,000-seater stadium’s catering offering, which will include some of the most glitzy and upmarket hospitality packages in the Premier League when the stadium opens in 2018.
Andy O’Sullivan, Tottenham Hotspur director of hospitality, commented: “We have undergone an extensive tender process and Levy Restaurants UK has proven themselves the outstanding candidate.
“They share our vision of enhancing the fan offering throughout our new stadium and their knowledge and expertise will prove invaluable in helping us deliver a world-class experience for all our visitors.”
Colin Bailey, managing director Levy Restaurants UK, added: “Tottenham Hotspur FC is one of the biggest clubs in Europe and we are delighted to have been selected as its catering partner for this exciting new stadium project.
“The development plans and the significant investment in engaging fans from the outset really does set this build apart and sets a new standard for the sports and events community.”
