Pop up pizzeria heads to New Bailey

I Knead Pizza, the independent mobile pizza company, is the latest street food pop-up to link up with Manchester riverside development New Bailey.

Delivered by English Cities Fund (ECf), New Bailey is a joint venture between Muse Developments, Legal & General and the Homes and Communities Agency in partnership with Salford City Council.

Paul Corrigan, I Knead Pizza founder, is the latest merchant to get on board with the scheme. Paul will be serving a variety of fresh pizzas, baked from a traditional wood fire, at the site during working weekdays.

Paul, a regular at food fairs in the region, spoke of his excitement at having New Bailey as his new semi-permanent base.

He explained: “We’ve worked with the team at New Bailey before for one off events and they’re great to work with – they’re professional and friendly.

“New Bailey is smart, inviting and in an interesting part of the city. It’s a prime location, right on the border of Manchester and Salford which is what attracted me to setting up a regular base here.”

Phil Mayall, ECf’s development director, added: “We’re always looking for something different to continue to build the vibrancy, diversity and atmosphere around New Bailey.

“We’re delighted to welcome I Knead Pizza to the development, offering something new to the many people who live and work in the area.”
