Zut Connects with Adult Learners
North West video agency, Zut, delivered live video link-ups from seven different venues to connect speakers and delegates at an adult learning conference, which took place this month (May).
As part of the inaugural Workers’ Educational Association (WEA) digital membership event, Zut managed live video link-ups between venues in Leeds, London, Edinburgh, Birmingham, Cambridge, Newcastle and Exeter. WEA members were also given the chance to participate online through a special Meetoo weblink.
The conference included presentations and panel discussions from Chair of Trustees and equalities campaigner Trevor Phillips as well as WEA President Lynne Smith.
Pearl Ryall, Membership and Volunteer Development Manager at the WEA, said: “As a national organisation with thousands of members across the country, bringing people together can often be a real challenge.
“That is why we decided to use live video link-ups at this event and it proved to be a big success. Zut did a fantastic job of making sure the technical side ran smoothly and we have already had some excellent feedback from speakers and delegates.”
Chris Holmes, Director of Live Broadcasting at Zut, said: “Live video link-ups offer an excellent alternative to delegates travelling long distances to attend conferences and events, saving organisations both time and money.
“Linking up seven venues for the WEA conference was an easy and effective way of bringing the organisation’s members together and it was a real pleasure to play such a pivotal role in the success of the event.” Zut video agency, which launched in 2008, works with clients across the country from its Liverpool headquarters. Recent work includes video production for Everton, Adidas, Umbro, Carillion, Brabners, Russell Hobbs and the Royal Liverpool and the NHS. Zut has also recently worked on live web broadcasts for a number of high profile brands including New Balance, Nestle and Royal Bank of Scotland.
