New summer experiences to position Liverpool ONE as ‘all-day destination’
Property giant Grosvenor Europe is running a number of events and experiences at Liverpool ONE in the coming months as it looks to boost summer footfall at the retail and leisure complex.
Most recently the shopping destination played host to The Luminarium, an inflatable maze immersing visitors in colour and sound to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Beatles’ Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band album.
Liverpool ONE will also offer guests an artificial grass installation by LazyLawn, in place until the end of September, on the Sugar House steps next to Chavasse Park.
This lawn theme will continue with the launch of a ‘natural living room’ in Chavasse Park. Open from June until September, the space will feature ‘sofa style’ grass installations for visitors.
The Tickle the Ivories programme will also make a return to L1 in 2017, with six public pianos available for visitors and busking musicians to use between July and September.
Lastly, Liverpool ONE will host a series of events during a two-day festival in early July, in partnership with the The British Style Collective (BSC).
Bookable experiences include cocktail and sushi making, styling workshops and makeup tutorials offered by various brands around the complex.
Grosvenor Europe’s Miles Dunnett said: “We are delighted to announce this programme of installations, all of which add something unique to the Liverpool ONE experience.
“These events will enhance our appeal as an all-day destination, and this type of activity underpins findings from CACI earlier this year that revealed more shoppers would recommend Liverpool ONE as a retail destination than any other in the UK.”
