Online fashion retailer Joe Browns sees record sales growth ahead of flagship store opening at Meadowhall
Joe Browns, the mail-order and online retailer, has reported a 23% growth in direct sales for the financial year to the end of June 2017.
This announcement comes ahead of the retailer launching its first flagship store in Meadowhall, Sheffield later this year.
On completion this autumn, the new store, spanning almost 4,000 sq ft, will form part of the shopping centre’s £60m regeneration.
The store’s opening will coincide with the launch of the retailer’s new Autumn Winter 2017 collection of clothing and accessories for men and women.
The rise in sales saw Joe Browns exceed its budget for July 1st, 2016, to June 30th, 2017, by 6% in direct sales compared to the previous year.
Simon Brown, managing director and founder of Joe Browns, said: “Despite tough marketplace conditions we have had an amazing year. We have a strong range offering great value and our customers have been very excited about each distinctive and vibrant new collection we’ve launched.
“We’re now very much looking forward to capturing the essence of our fun and liberating lifestyle brand and bringing it to life in our first shop.
“We believe the brand will bring a point of difference to the Sheffield shopping scene and be a go-to destination for free-thinking, spontaneous individuals who want their fashion choices to match their lust for life.”
