Newcastle barbers land funding to plot future expansion
Newcastle-based Kamran’s Barbers is embarking on a northern expansion strategy, after securing funding from financial services leader Barclays.
The gentleman’s hair salon, established in Newcastle in 2006, runs several outlets across the region. Owner Kamran Zarie will use the funding to immediately purchase existing premises, before targeting Leeds and Durham over the next year to pursue further growth.
Kamran’s Barber Shops are traditional barbers which also offer additional services such as beard trims, hair colouring, hot towel shaves and facials.
Kamran Zarie, Owner, Kamran’s Barbers said: “We’ve been trading for over seven years and this is the first opportunity we’ve had to purchase our premises so we’re delighted to be proud owners of our Shields Road outlet.
“With low interest rates it felt the time was right to invest for the future and I’m thrilled with the purchase which will secure the future of the business.
“Purchasing our premises has been a long held dream and it’s great that Barclays has supported me to achieve this.”
Katharine Mather, Barclays Business Manager arranged the new funding package.
She commented:’‘It’s so rewarding working with customers to achieve their long held dreams and support them with not only finance, but guidance and specialist support.
“Kamran has developed the business in many areas and his signature red and black barber shops can be easily identified across the region.”
