Sheffield property agents set to 'revolutionise' industry with launch of new app
Shefflets, the family-run Sheffield property agents, has announced plans to ‘revolutionise’ the property lettings industry with the launch of digital app, Vouch.
Devised by sisters Jaime Tillyer and Lynsey Gaskell and their husbands Simon and Kevin, Vouch was initially created to manage and simplify the tenant application process within their own business based on Sheffield’s Ecclesall Road.
Soon after launching, the family said they recognised the appeal of the app, which could help letting agents save significant time and between 65% and 85% on referencing costs.
They now hope that the app will provide a financial solution to the upcoming ban on letting agents fees by the Government, reaffirmed at the recent Conservative Party Conference, which could otherwise be harmful for some property lettings agencies.
Simon Tillyer, director of Vouch, who is a graduate of Sheffield Hallam University, commented: “Having spent years transforming our family business into one of Sheffield’s most successful agents, we are really excited to be taking the next step with the launch of Vouch.
“We look forward to seeing other businesses in Sheffield and across the U.K. benefitting from using the technology, which we hope can help increase profit margins without the need for customers to bear the brunt of the costs.”
A subscription to Vouch costs £100 PCM, and includes full use of the system and the first 15 applications.
