Access North Structures shortlisted as Employer of the Year finalist
Work at height specialist Access North Structures has been announced as one of the finalists for this year’s Examiner Business Awards.
The company was established in 2011 by MD Berenice Northcott, who advocates the importance of nurturing a fulfilling work environment for employees. Delivering specialist services in rope access, fall protection, ETFE and tensile fabrics, the growing team has since become renowned as ‘The Height Experts’ within the construction industry and beyond.
Access North Structures has been shortlisted within the Employer of the Year category, which is sponsored by Huddersfield occupational health firm Prohms. The company is up against two other contenders in the same category, and the winner will be announced at a black-tie awards ceremony at the John Smith’s Stadium on Thursday 2 November.
Committed to investing in the wellbeing and ongoing motivation of the team, Access North has recently introduced a number of ground-breaking incentives including unlimited holidays and stand-up desks. Channelling her branding background into her directorial role, Berenice recognises the value of ensuring all colleagues are invested in the Access North Structures ethos and are working towards the same goal.
The Examiner announcement follows Berenice’s recent shortlisting for a Forward Ladies 2017 award, within the SME Emerging category.
Commenting on the latest shortlist news, Berenice said: “Our whole team is committed to the work that we do, which makes me very proud as an MD. But it’s always brilliant to receive outside recognition for our efforts and dedication too.
“Being shortlisted for the Employer of the Year category is especially meaningful for us, as we’ve always championed the importance of looking after our team and investing in their development. Access North Structures’ success wouldn’t be possible without our employees, so we try to make day-to-day working life as rewarding and fulfilling as we can, which this nomination reflects.”
Headquartered at Brooke’s Mill in Huddersfield, Access North Structures works on complex projects across the UK, from rope access maintenance and ETFE installations, to tensile fabric upkeep and fall protection system implementation.
