Cheshire hotel comes to market for £2.5m after owner falls into financial difficulty
A hotel in the Cheshire village of Prestbury is coming to market with a guide price of £2.5m.
Commercial property firm GVA has been appointed as the sole agent for the sale of The Bridge Hotel, on behalf of the joint administrators of leisure operator Bridge Hotel (Prestbury) Limited.
Occupying a detached period property, the hotel features a lounge bar and restaurant in addition to its 23 en-suite letting bedrooms.
The Bridge Hotel also houses a function facility with space for up to 100 guests.
Martin Davis, from GVA’s Northern Hotels team, said: “This superb hotel is situated in one of the North West’s most desirable and sought after residential locations which provides an ingoing operator with an excellent opportunity to develop trade.”
Joint administrator Arron Kendall, from London firm Moorfields Advisory, commented: “The Bridge Hotel has been running since 1952 in the heart of Cheshire, but unfortunately fell into financial difficulties earlier this year.
“The hotel has had a good trading history and would be a good purchase for someone wishing to build on the reputation of the existing hotel.”
The hotel will continue to trade while a purchaser is sought.
