Angel Central has received the festive treatment with a new pop-up bar
CBRE Global Investors has announced the opening of The Jägerhaus Bar, a Christmas pop-up, at Angel Central in Islington.
The pop-up, run by German Events Ltd, is located on the central piazza and will run until December 23. The Bavarian-style solid wood cabins are decorated in a Black Forest theme with a fully furnished beer garden.
Said to provide an authentic German bar experience with a modern twist, The Jägerhaus offers European drinks including beer and mulled apple cider alongside various soft drinks. As well as food stalls, there is also live music for entertainment.
Matthew Barratt, of CBRE Global Investors, said: “The Jägerhaus Bar is an exciting food and drink pop-up that enhances our customer’s shopping experience over the festive period.
“Angel Central’s piazza is a busy thoroughfare between Upper Street and Liverpool Road, making it the perfect spot for a festive pop-up of this kind. We place a real focus on a comprehensive visitor experience and are thrilled to offer something to our local catchment.”
The news follows the recent announcement of CBRE Global Investors confirming an investment of nearly £8m, part of a comprehensive refurbishment and phased development within Angel Central.
Planning has been submitted for the first phase of improvements - said to be commencing January 2018.
The 150,000 sq ft Angel Central benefits from an annual footfall of 10 million visitors. Its retail line-up includes Gap, French Connection and Monsoon. In addition, Vue’s 10-screen cinema and the O2 Academy are on offer as well as several restaurants.
Angel Central dealt directly with German Events LTD.
