Ambleside B&B to sell for over £1.3m
A family-owned bed and breakfast in the Lake District has come to market with a seven-figure asking price.
Commercial property agent GVA is seeking a buyer for The Fisherbeck in Ambleside, a four-storey B&B with 18 en-suite bedrooms, public areas and two- to three-bedroom accommodation for its owners or staff.
The company, which GVA described as “profitable”, has operated since 1979 and has a price tag of £1.375m.
The Fisherbeck will continue to trade and accept bookings with a full complement of staff while a buyer is secured.
GVA’s hotel and leisure director, Martin Davis, said: “The Fisherbeck offers a rare opportunity for an investor or lifestyle operator to acquire a high-quality business with an existing strong trade.
“Located in a sought-after part of the Lake District, the business also offers significant potential for further upside through the potential to convert the business back to use as a hotel.”
