Plant-based burger company plots Shoreditch opening
Plant-based burger business The Vurger Co is launching its first ever permanent eatery in East London.
Having operated pop-ups at festivals and at sites across London, the company has decided to put down roots with a restaurant in Shoreditch.
Capacity will be around 30, with both indoor and outdoor seating available.
The venue will serve The Vurger Co’s full menu, including its Tabasco Auburger made with aubergines, chickpeas, red onion and vegan cheese.
The founder of The Vurger Co, Rachel Hugh, said: “‘We couldn’t be happier, we have lived in East London for over 10 years and we adore its vibe and authenticity.
“We have traded in the area for two years through various pop ups, events and festivals so moving into Shoreditch was the perfect match for The Vurger Co.”
She added: “We just can’t wait to get started and continue to revolutionise fast food through the power of plants!”
The Vurger Co’s Shoreditch site will open March 12.
