Revolution Bars Group takes on former Toby Carvery boss as CEO

Leisure operator Revolution Bars Group plc has appointed a new CEO.

Rob Pitcher has more than 25 years’ experience in hospitality, working most recently as a member of the executive committee of pub group Mitchells & Butlers (M&B).

With M&B he was divisional director of restaurants, covering the Toby Carvery, Harvester and Stonehouse brands.

Mr Pitcher’s experience also includes senior positions at hospitality businesses Stonegate, Bramwell, Town & City, Laurel, Scottish & Newcastle Retail and Spirit.

Revolution boss Keith Edelman, who is reverting back to his previous position as non-executive chairman following the appointment, said: “We have undertaken a wide-ranging and exhaustive search for a new chief executive with extensive relevant experience to take the company to our next stage of growth.

“Rob Pitcher’s proven operational experience and leadership qualities with considerably bigger companies will enhance the ongoing development of the Revolution and Revolucion de Cuba brands. The board looks forward to working with him.”

Revolution Bars Group said Mr Pitcher’s joining date will be announced “in due course”.

Last month, the Tameside-headquartered company saw its half-year revenues hit £73.7m.
