The Brink Pays Tribute to Terracotta Warriors with Unique Mocktail
The Brink is introducing a ‘Terracotta Warrior’ inspired mocktail to celebrate the launch of the popular exhibition at Liverpool’s World Museum.
The UK’s first and Liverpool’s only dry bar will be paying homage to the underground army of life-sized warriors with its aptly named Terracotta Warrior; a blend of Orange, Grapefruit, Turmeric & Carrot.
Manager of The Brink Carl Bell said: “There is a lot of buzz in the city and further afield around the Terracotta Warrior exhibition which is fantastic for our tourism economy and is particularly significant as 2018 marks a decade since Liverpool was awarded the title of Capital of Culture. Our carefully crafted Terracotta Warrior mocktail marks The Brink’s signature way of acknowledging the importance that this display has on the city and its residents. It is a fantastic opportunity for local people to discover The Brink if they haven’t already and support us in raising the city region’s profile when it comes to cultural awareness.
“The drink has been created in honour of the life-size soldiers themselves, served in a tall glass using ingredients such as Turmeric and Carrot to give it a warm orange colour as well as a great taste. Not only is this a way for us to commemorate the Warriors’ visit, but it also allows The Brink to offer tourists travelling to the city the chance to enjoy an additional element to commemorate their stay in a truly unique way.”
For over 2,000 years, the terracotta warriors secretly guarded the tomb of China’s first Emperor, Qin Shi Huang, and will be on display at World Museum until October 2018.
Alongside its culinary offerings The Brink is a tourism hub in the heart of Liverpool City Centre, regularly welcoming visitors from the likes of Asia, Europe and Canada to name a few.
Carl added: “The Brink is already a popular tourist destination attracting more than a thousand visitors from around the world annually, so it is great for us to support the museum’s offering with a Terracotta Warrior of our own, enhancing the overall experience for visitors and residents alike!”
