Inside Liverpool’s newest gastropub The Old Bank
The site of the former First National wine bar in Liverpool has relaunched as The Old Bank.
Leisure operator Pub Invest Group is the company behind the new gastropub, which features a main island-style bar along with seating booths set across two floors.
The Old Bank, located on James Street, also has a smaller mezzanine-level bar.
According to Tony McGee, spokesperson for Pub Invest Group, the venue will focus on locally sourced ingredients and reflect the city’s maritime influences.
He said: “Pub Invest have been wishing to launch in the business district for some time, the suitability of the First National Bank building as our first venture could not be any better.
“The long and rich history of the waterfront has been reflected in everything we put in place at The Old Bank.”
Pub Invest owns more than 25 bars and clubs throughout Liverpool city centre, including McCooley’s, Rubber Soul and Brooklyn Mixer.
