'Renowned' signage firm completes managerial buyout
A signage company has completed a management buyout in its 30th year in business.
The existing management team of printing and service company, Mascot Services Ltd, has completed the buyout of the company from the previous owner and one of the co-founders, Jim Madden.
With more than 40 years of experience working at Mascot Services, employees of the firm, Tracy Prior and Glenn Sharp will both become directors of the newly structured company and will lead the team at both sites, in Blaydon and Teesside.
As experts in the field, Tracy and Glenn intend to use their exhaustive knowledge of the industry to grow the business whilst maintaining the company’s long-standing reputation as the specialists in estate agency signage services.
Tracy Prior, of Mascot Services, said: “The management buyout will provide us with an opportunity to continue to supply our customers with top quality products while gaining more custom to expand the business even further.
“We are eager to use our knowledge of the estate agency industry to uphold the company’s reputation as the best and most knowledgeable signage services firm in the region. This marks an exciting time for Mascot Services.
“Our structure and facilities mean that we can react quickly to customer requests and also our service levels are not affected by employee holidays; we always have enough people to cover.”
The company works with over 350 estate agents across the country, and Mascot Services’ installation staff subsequently run over 100,000 site visits per year, a number which is set to increase as the company’s demand rises.
Mascot Services Ltd’s Blaydon site has in-house large printing and design facilities, allowing them to provide clients with various estate signage such as LED window displays, commercial signage and fascia signs.
The premises include a digital print shop with fully automated high production machines, a design studio, a showroom and 7,000 sq ft of factory space.
