Management consultancy Atkins makes move to Sheffield Digital Campus
Atkins, one of the world’s largest design, engineering and project management consultancies, is set for a move to the Sheffield Digital Campus.
Scarborough International Properties Limited (SIPL), the real estate developer and its joint venture partner Metro Holdings of Singapore (Metro) have let half of the third floor at Acero to Atkins.
Atkins, which is a member of the SNC-Lavalin Group, has taken a 10-year lease of 7,000 sq ft of space on the third floor of the building.
The consultancy joins Simcyp, which has taken the second floor and Spaces, which has recently taken both the ground and fifth floor of the Grade A office development.
Located in Sheffield city centre, Acero is adjacent to Sheffield’s main railway station and offers 80,599 sq ft of office accommodation over six floors.
The office building is the latest addition to the Sheffield DC development and has been privately funded in a 50:50 joint venture between SIPL and Metro.
Commercial Property Partners, Colloco and Knight Frank acted for Scarborough, Lambert Smith Hampton acted for Atkins.
Paul Holcroft of Scarborough International Properties, said: “This latest signing to Atkins demonstrates the quality of the building and services on offer at Sheffield Digital Campus.
“We continue to attract new high-profile businesses to the building and are delighted to welcome such a well-known and respected tenant to Acero’s growing business community.”
